President Bola Tinubu on Friday called for divine intervention to address Nigeria’s pressing challenges, including national stability, peace, and the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
Speaking after attending Juma’at prayers at the National Mosque in Abuja to mark his 73rd birthday, Tinubu expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for his life and for answering his prayers.
“I prayed for our country to stabilize, remain at peace, and safeguard all citizens,” he said. “I feel good, I feel happy, and I give thanks to Almighty Allah for His protection and for continuing to accept our prayers and worship.”
Reflecting on his role as Nigeria’s leader, Tinubu said he found renewed inspiration to work even harder for the nation. “The key to everything is hard work-you work harder, you pray harder. That is the inspiration I take from all of this, and we thank God for where we are today.”
The President’s call for prayers comes amid ongoing economic and security challenges in the country.
