Once one of the biggest tennis stars on the planet, Agassi has turned shifted his talents on the court to pickleball. He made quite a big splash in Naples back in April when he checked this box on his sports resume: He played professional pickleball at the U.S. Open Pickleball Championships.

Andre Agassi and Anna Leigh Waters’ partnership at the US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples lasted just two matches. After winning their first mixed pro doubles match at noon on April 30, they dropped the nightcap.
Agassi and Waters had a tough time in their first match but prevailed as they were pushed to three games by the unheralded teenage tandem of 16-year-old Tristan Dussault and 13-year-old Stevie Petrpouleas in an 11-8, 9-11, 11-7 victory.
About that victory, Agassi said:
“Coming out here with Anna Leigh, I was more nervous than a gypsy with a mortgage,” Agassi said in a post-match interview with CBS Sports Network, which televised his pickleball debut live. “This is a metaphor for life: choose your partners well.”
